Installation

FlowUrja Studio ships as a self-contained native binary. No Python, no Node.js, no separate OpenFAST or TurbSim installation required — everything is bundled.

macOS

Requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon (M1 or later).

1. Download the latest .dmg from the Releases page.
2. Open the .dmg and drag FlowUrja Studio to your Applications folder.
3. Launch FlowUrja Studio from your Applications folder. The app is Apple-notarized and opens without any security prompt.

Windows

Requirements: Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11.

1. Download the latest _x64-setup.exe installer from the Releases page.

2. Run the installer. Windows Defender SmartScreen may show an “Unknown publisher” warning.

   • Click More info

   

   • Then click Run anyway

   

3. Follow the setup wizard prompts to complete the installation.

Why does SmartScreen appear?

The Windows installer is not signed with a commercial code-signing certificate. SmartScreen flags unsigned installers regardless of their content. FlowUrja Studio is completely free of malware — the full source code is publicly available on GitHub and can be audited by anyone. The macOS version is Apple-notarized and does not show any equivalent warning.

Updating

FlowUrja Studio does not yet auto-update. To update, download and install the latest release from GitHub. Your projects and settings are preserved.
